Many of you don't know us yet, but we are former Special Operations soldiers, and we started Warrior Spirit for some very good reasons. The primary reasons are the health, security, and freedom of good citizens. In addition to a serious obesity problem in our country, there is a rising need to protect people from new forms of terrorist and criminal threats. Also, over the past few years, many experts have been discussing the brewing possibility of serious global economic problems. When economic problems arise, so too do violent crimes. Thus, we have our work cut out for us.

No one can say for sure what will happen in the future, but we have known for some time that two particular forms of attacks are becoming increasingly attractive to terrorists and criminals. They are car attacks and knife attacks. When guns become more controlled, bad people find new ways of hurting people. I hope you all will take a look at the car attack that occurred in New York City recently (there are videos--be careful, they are gruesome). The link to the article below should get you started.

Mainstream media didn't spend much time covering this recent attack. This is unfortunate because it's an important warning sign. The dangers are out there. Please do your research and stay aware of what's going on out there. We will be discussing car attacks in future self-defense classes, and we hope to add a video course here, as well. For those of you who don't know, we often discuss various scenarios in class--such as active shooters, home invasions, knife attacks--and how to prepare for and deal with them. I hope you will all find the time to be responsible citizens, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters--and come train. Remember to start with the stick-fighting drills. These build up the foundational fitness, skills, and proper mindset that are important for self-defense in any situation. Don't forget that the "Four Pillars of Survival" are Proper Mindset, Situational Awareness, Skill Proficiency, and Physical Fitness. If you're situationally aware, you already know that there are many different kinds of deadly attacks out there. If you have the proper mindset, you'll seek out the most knowledgeable experts and begin preparing for them. Skill proficiency, physical fitness, and further developing your mindset and awareness is where we come in.
